What won't Peter Lik do to capture the perfect shot? Not much! From extreme weather to active volcanoes, Pete never hesitates to put himself in danger for the perfect shot.

Peter has recently been travel American's majestic countryside capturing breathtaking images of her natural wonders. By finding the "spirit of a place," Pete is able to connecting with his surroundings and capture the single beauty of nature.

I was walking through the Plaza Hotel shops in NYC when The Tree of Life grabbed my attention. I've been known to pull over to the side of the road to take in a beautiful tree, but this Japanese Maple made me stop dead in my tracks. It's truly a breathtaking shot. Thank you, Peter, for sharing it.
